My Qualifications

After 40 years of working in both small and large healthcare enterprises, I developed skill sets around legal processes, business operations, and financial management that fostered success for my employers and clients. I have overseen multi-state networks, managed an annual budget of $1 billion, and overseen a staff of up to 90 persons.

Entering my 14th year as an Idaho resident, I have been active in local issues and regularly support several charities (e.g., Idaho Humane Society, Idaho PBS, Animal in Distress, and Boise Rescue Mission). In the last few years, I have grown concerned about the increasing encroachment into our Open Spaces and its impact on raptors, birds and other important wildlife. We must do everything necessary to protect the Idaho lands we all love so much.

I am now the newest Commissioner of the Boise City/Ada County Housing Authority. Approved by both the Ada County Commissioners and the Boise City Council, I look forward to serving the community in this volunteer capacity. Through careful fiscal management and compliance with federal and state laws, we need to ensure that elderly, disabled, and most fragile populations have access to safe and affordable housing.

Opting to retire early from my career in healthcare, I later served as the Treasurer of a very large HOA. In my term, I led the elimination of inefficient operations, wasteful spending of our homeowner funds, and protection of homeowner records. Our Board better managed overall revenue and expenses to reduce the annual homeowner dues by $100 per year, with no cuts to any services, while still ensuring Reserves were funded well in excess of actuarial targets.
